USAID Promo videos

I used to make promo videos and edit webinars for USAID. These are a few examples. (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator)

3D

I learned a lot about 3D modeling when I got my second bachelor's degree. Here are a few examples.

Many moons ago, when I was considerably lighter around the waist, my beard wasn't nearly as grey as it is today, and one could still sneak on to the graffiti road in Centralia. We were learning how to put our models into video with motion tracking in Maya. That's me playing the guitar. (Maya, After Effects, Audition)

They only ever gave us like two weeks to put together these elaborate animations from sketch to final render. I'd like to think I did somewhat okay here. That's me on guitar again singing Willie Nelson. (Maya, Illustrator, Audition, After Effects)

This is the resulting 3D model of the specimen. (Blender)

Also many moons ago, this is my artistic representation of urban sprawl. (Maya, After Effects)

The Penn State Biology Department wanted to see if we could create a 3D model of this particular medical specimen using an advanced Artek laser scanner. Here is a video of me working on that. And yes, that is a real human head; plastinated, of course.

The folks at Penn State Forensic Science wanted a model of this device, known as the MCS-400. Also called a "crimescope", it is a fancy blacklight that can reveal a wide array of fluids on surfaces. (Blender)

Fishing lure product photography

I love fishing. And one day, I figured, why not? So I grabbed the camera, the light box my sister-in-law got me for Christmas one year, and my tackle box.

Soap packaging

I make soap every year for myself and for gifts. I dabble in selling it here and there as well. Here are some examples of the labels I have designed.
